“Inspired by my own experience on the mat, I believe yoga (movement, breath and meditation) can be a path to wellness and joy. It is about community, connectedness, health and so much more. Once you feel this power that comes with the skill of engineering the content of your mind there is no way back.”

“ The center of my classes is always breath. The goal is to practice presence, to create space and just be. It is pure magic to be able to break free from the drive to constantly do and want, even if for a few minutes a day in the beginning. This is where the deepest healing happens. ”

Alyona is a wellness educator, teacher of spirituality, specializing in breathwork, meditation and yogic movement. Her work is dedicated to raising frequency of the collective consciousness through sharing practices that support wellbeing on physical, mental, emotional and subtle levels. Her teaching is informed by the idea that wellbeing is wholeness; it is where mind, body, heart and soul come together; to enrich your experience of life and discover the depths and heights of the subtle/highest self one is to journey within. In this journey, breathing techniques, yogic movement and meditation are beautiful invaluable tools. Through these practices, we are able to align all aspects of our being, bringing our mind, heart/soul and body in unison; the quality and experience of life improves and magic happens.

Alyona has been a student of yoga and meditation for over 15 years. After graduate school (M.A. in Art History, Hunter College), she was able to transform her yoga and meditation practice, received her 200 hour teacher training at Yoga Vida and completed 300 hours training at Prema Yoga Institute. She continues to study the art of yoga and has advanced certifications in anatomy, stress management, Yoga Nidra, breath work, meditation and Ayurveda. Based in Greenwich, CT, she is currently training for international certification in yoga therapy through Breathing Deeply as well as studying with Karen Nourizadeh (meditation and breath). You can find her practicing in her studio in Greenwich backcountry, playing with her kids in the park, or working on an educational program for women about getting in touch with their bodies through knowing their menstrual cycles, called The Magic of Your Moon. “I’m grateful to all of my teachers, mentors and guides in all manifestations they have appeared.”
